A guildy in COH approached me with the idea of a comic-style page of art, placing Sulfuric Sugar in opposition to a Nemesis. The image was a fun idea, but since comics are a story-telling medium, I've always liked the idea of there being some sort of lead-in to the image... showing how the face-off came to be. My guildy commissioned the second page, but I got into the project enough that I offered to do the first page as a bonus item.

Little did I know this set of pieces would take several weeks to pull off, and I thank her for her patience and ultimate coolness during the long wait. I hope it's what she was looking for.

I like this type of commission because I get to further study the art of comics while I'm working on it. I'm still not liking my colors since they take so long to do (there's GOT to be a faster method), but I'm getting there.

Oh, and my house rule? Light-Speed makes a cameo in every one. =)

All right. She looks VERY interesting despite she only appears in one panel. :) And Sulfuric Sugar (?) is also quite the NICE character! ;) :D

In fact, I like both of them equally! :blush: :love: :heart: Wonderful job overall with this short comic book, DS! What's the lowdown on these fine ladies, anyway? :)

Also, could you please let me know about your rates for commissions? There's no info about this matter at your profile page and/or your journal, which is the only one you have, by the way. Thanks in advance! :XD:

Yeah, for the past several years, I've worked on 3D about 90% of the time. I was just joking about being older than computers ;)
